The Venus Factor diet really does work. Welcome to the only honest Venus Factor review site based in the USA that answers all your questions. My name is Debs and I have set up this website with one objective. To give you as much information as you need to make an informed decision. So what is the Venus Factor? The Venus Factor is a fitness and weight loss program for women created by John Barban. A while back I was struggling with my weight. The Venus Factor Diet really guided me to success and I'm so grateful. This review is my opportunity to share my experience with the program and inspire other women to achieve their goals. I'm currently nearly 50 pounds lighter than when I started the program. To this day I still base all my workouts and my diet on what I learnt during my twelve weeks on the Venus Factor program. Why did I start the Venus Factor?

Previously I had tried other diets and had done copious amounts of cardio, but all to no avail. I would keep to this or that diet for a week but then give in to temptation and gorge myself in the weekend! But when I came across the Venus Factor diet it all seemed to make sense. I could still eat almost the same as before but in smaller quanties, the amount determined by my goals and calculated for me by a software app included with the program. The Venus Factor teaches you to measure portions and eat less thereby allowing you to eat more in the weekend. This produces an undulating pattern which is designed to keep your metabolism guessing. So if I miss breakfast, I can make an adjustment and make it up at lunch.  If I'm going to a restaurant that night and want to eat that yummy dessert I can eat less during the day and save the calories for later. It's the same with exercise. The workouts are medium intensity using compound movements that differ from workout to workout. They work your body in different ways than cardio and I can really notice the difference. The Venus Factor really works because it fits so effortlessly into your daily life. I have also downloaded the program onto my laptop and smartphone so I can access it everywhere.

The Venus Factor Workouts

There are many ways to use the Venus Factor workouts. If you are new to exercising it is recommended to start with three days a week. You can do all three days in a row if you feel the need. Once you learn all the routines you can set them up however you want depending on your own goals, conditioning, and lifestyle. You can mix and match between various routines to make a routine that suits your own goals. As you get to the more advanced workouts in the final phase, some of the workouts are longer and requireb more days per week. Again you can set them up how you want to, split them up, and do whatever you need to do to fit them into your own lifestyle and to fit your goals. You don't have to do cardio, but if you feel that you can't live without doing some, go ahead! Some do cardio on alternate days with the Venus workouts; others do cardio the same day as Venus Factor workouts. Do what works best for you and your goals.

Nicki • Is the Venus Factor a low or no carbohydrate diet? Do you have to fast? I need to keep my blood sugar levels steady and stable.

Definitely not! You can eat what you want, when you want, as long as you are following the Venus Factor calorie guidelines which are specific to your weight loss goals. These are printed out by the Virtual Nutritionist software which is included with the Venus Factor program. Three main meals a day are complimented with two small snacks. Fasting is not encouraged but rather the opposite, where once a week you are allowed to have an eat-up day where you get to eat more calories than normal, thereby preventing your body adapting to that calorie range and slowing down your metabolism. Perfect for that day you need to go out to a restaurant!

Aria •  I have a question regarding the Venus Factor workouts. I currently work out on an indoor rower about 30-35 min, 4-5 days a week. I have a bad knee (which rowing doesn’t bother), which prevents me from bending it to do squats. Can the exercise program be modified to get the same results (do more of the exercises I can do?) Thanks

You can definitely modify the Venus Factor exercises to your own level and needs, for example you can do pushups against a counter until you build strength and step-ups instead of squats. All that matters is that you start at your own level and with exercises you are comfortable with as this will speed up your results. The Venus Factor does offer a variety of exercises that can be substituted into the workouts with instructional videos. As you are already using a rower which is a great full body exercise, it's possible to swap the Venus Factor workouts for your own workouts or do them as well.

Hi Laura, I now weigh 132 lbs and I am 5 ft 5. Before losing weight, I ate out or bought home a take away at least four nights a week pushing my weight over 180 lbs. That’s when I finally took a long hard look at my health. When I got the Venus Factor I realized I was eating twice the recommended servings of most foods, so I replaced fast food with healthy, lower calorie recipes like wholemeal pasta loaded with vegetables. The Venus Factor meal plans and Virtual Nutritionist were such a great help in organizing my diet.  I also dusted off my cross trainer and hopped on for half an hour a day while my daughter slept! Together with the three weekly Venus Factor workouts my weight loss accelerated until I reached my ideal weight and body shape. After 12 weeks on the Venus Factor program I dropped 43 lbs and now I try to maintain my weight between 130 to 135 lbs. Debs

Shannon Eliabeth Staley •  I've recently had a surgery requiring for a full hysterectomy. So all my hormones are completely out of whack. I have noticed in the two months since ive had the surgery there has been a more than significant weight gain. To which I am very unhappy with as most can imagine. I would really like to lose at least 20 pounds or more but don't want to have to constantly weigh and count my foods. I did it with many other calories controlled diets and found this to be too time consuming. Can you tell me how demanding will this diet be? As well as the exercises. As I am a busy student and mother of three I do have very little time. Will this be feasible? From what I have read and seen so far I am very very interested. Can anyone help with my questions to put my mind at rest?

  Hi Shannon. Yes I believe the Venus Factor program would fit in with your busy schedule. I do recommend though that you talk to your doctor before starting any new exercise routine. The Venus Factor workouts consist of simple exercises that don't need weights or other equipment and can be done by anyone. There are only three workouts a week and there is no fixed schedule, so you could do them all in the weekend for example. Counting the warm-up they are all less than one hour. The diet doesn't require you to take all the fun out of eating by forcing you to count calories or give up your favourite treats. Instead of dieting you'll learn how to adjust your eating habits, so there is more freedom in the meal plans than other diets.

As you can see by my photos, in just 12 weeks I lost 20 lbs from the photo on the left. So that on my wedding day I looked leaner and just perfect. ijustwannabethin • The Venus Factor Community seems to be an important aspect of their program so I was curious about whether or not you have access to the Community site after you have been on the program for 12 weeks? And if so is there any additional fee for extended access? Thanks.
